Early 2020, the NHS asked to step in & setup telecom services for a new Covid ward at Miriam Medical Centre as BT/Openreach purportedly refused to help...
...this new covid ward could not be opened until this critical work was completed. We did the work wearing P3 respirators...
...BT/openreach engineers purportedly refused to enter to commission new lines, so we had to locate a couple of unused lines, we found some...
...on the other side of the building. Tracing them through several comms rooms and riser cupboards back to the ‘DP’ in the basement...
...we then rerouted the lines to the correct communications room & correctly present them on the wall with the others...
...before patching them onto the customers data network which would then take them to the correct ward...
...and to the reception desk. Job done and signed off by the head nurse. It was a pleasure to have done our part & assist our brave friends in the NHS.
